I think this is my rebirth, for according to me rebirth is when one misses a lifetime of misery in the nick of time. This near miss can be a result of a number of factors, internal and external. But when we trusts God or some superpower and are in trouble (read “deep shit”) i firmly believe that the entire universe conspires to keep you safe and happy. I agree it’s better to follow your instincts, but sometimes one is blinded by short term happiness and fails to see the larger picture. And in the pursuit of the momentary happiness one refuses to see the darkness ahead and ultimately falls in trouble. Life is definitely not a bed of roses but that does not mean you knowingly lie on a bed of thorns. Also when you have been at the receiving end and somebody has been mean to you one starts building up this desire for revench. This is because of the absence of a proper closure for the incident that has happened. During such times one needs to trust the concept of divine retribution. What goes around comes around because the tears of an innocent soul will never go wasted. Faith is all one can depend on during such times. And then there are so many nice human beings who were/are there to give you a hand, lend you a shoulder to lean on, who will hold you when you need someone. One has to be thankful for all those small miracles which have occurred as an outcome of that one awful thing. So when people say whatever happens happens for the best they are not far from the truth, it just takes a bit longer for the sufferee to realize this. And when one does realize it, it makes up for the pain, suffering, embarrassment that one has gone through. It makes us humble and makes us human.
